Jonathan Pacheco is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Attorney, with more than 25 years of professional experience in tax, legal, and business consulting matters. Throughout his career, he has developed a solid track record in tax planning, diagnostics, audits, advisory services, tax expert witness reports, and defense appeals before the General Directorate of Revenue (DGI) and the Tax Administrative Court (TAT).

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Panama and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Political Science from the Universidad Latina de Panamá. In addition, he holds a Postgraduate Degree in Senior Management, a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Banking and Finance, a Master’s Degree in Commercial Law, and a Master’s Degree in Administrative Law (Universidad Latina de Panamá). He complements his education with a Postgraduate Degree and a Master’s Degree in Taxation obtained from the Specialized University of the Certified Public Accountant (UNESCPA) — where he ranked second in his class — and with Postgraduate and Master’s studies in Higher Education Teaching.

He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Customs Public Administration. He has completed various courses and diplomas at the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) on topics of taxation, exchange of information, and transfer pricing, as well as a Diploma in IFRS at UNESCPA.

Jonathan combines his professional practice with university teaching. He is a master’s degree professor at the University of Panama in Accounting and Tax Law subjects, and has taught in master’s and bachelor’s programs at the Universidad Interamericana, the Universidad Latina de Panamá, and ISAE Universidad, in Commercial Law and Taxation subjects.
